200hr Teacher Training
January - June 2020
What is Yoga from the Heart Teacher Training?
When we get to the heart of the matter, the most optimized version of ourselves shines! Uncovering the depth and textures of the ancient systems of yoga reveals our greatest potential: the totality of you comes forth in ease, grace and love, and ripples out into the world. This may be the most important work of our lives.
Yoga from the Heart (YFTH) is a movement taking shape right in the heart of Houston, TX. This dynamic 200-hour teacher training will encourage you to harness the power of breath + movement, compassion + commitment, and self-study + service through the ancient and ever-relevant practices of yoga. Our hope is to affect global change, one heartbeat at a time.
Co-led by Jennifer Yuhas and Madonna McManus, Yoga from the Heart Teacher Training will provide carefully curated tools to reveal the most inspired you. We’ll explore the 8-limbed path of yoga and its history, sequencing creative vinyasa, anatomy, and deep self-study. The intention will be to teach you how to teach, and, perhaps more importantly, to enhance your relationships with yourself and those you love.
This training is designed for those drawn towards teaching yoga, those interested in deepening their personal practice, and/or those simply interested in learning more about themselves.
Yoga from the Heart Teacher Training is a 200-hour Certified Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance. Our program has been influenced by the teachings of Tammy Lyons and Inner Bliss Yoga Studio, Marni Task, Max Strom, Janet Stone, Sharon Gannon, David Life, Kathryn Budig, Jenny Buergermeister, Leslie Kaminoff, David Magone, Gioconda Parker, Christina Sell, Carmen Aguilar and Ana Forrest.
