About Mich
My classes offer a space not to retreat from the world, but to journey inward. Each drop of sweat layered on the mat becomes a record of distance traveled and a reflection of the clarity that comes from closing one day before stepping into the next.
I carry a warrior spirit—tested often, yet grounded in patience, precision, and endurance. Life has unfolded as a series of marathons, and yoga has taught me to approach them with steadiness and strength. Along this path, creativity reveals itself—an awareness that the discipline of the body and the rhythm of breath open the same doors through which imagination moves. To me, yoga and art are parallel practices of persistence, discovery, and release, each revealing deeper layers of presence and possibility.
Beyond the mat, I am a Houston-based artist, museum curator and creative entrepreneur spanning sculpture, outdoor product design, fabrication, public art community organizing, and project management. My public artworks and site-specific installations have been featured in Ruby City Museum, the Houston Airport Systems permanent collection, the Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Houston Freedmen's Town Conservancy, Project Row Houses, and Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
In every realm—through breath, movement, or material—I seek to honor endurance, creativity, and the transformative power of presence.
