About Taylor
My yoga journey began when I was an angsty 16 year old. Yoga taught me how to slow down my ever-running mind and inspired me to include balance (physically & emotionally) in everything I approached in and out of the studio. I love that I can learn something new about my body, focus and patience every time I practice. For my graduating present senior year of college I begged my parents to help me pay for my 200 hr yoga teacher training. Once they caved, I took full advantage of the program, learning and practicing a variety of styles like hatha, ashtanga, yin, kundalini and of course of vinyasa. So my teaching blends my favorite qualities from each style: the slow and steady pace of hatha, the strength and alignment of ashtanga, the patience and meditation of yin, the spiritual inner work of kundalini, and the breath work and creativity of vinyasa. In yoga, there is always something new to learn about ourselves because we are always changing. We have one body and one mind in this life, and I believe we should love the journey of living in ourselves at every stage, even when it’s not easy. And that’s why we have yoga! To give ourselves the space to explore out capabilities, practice slowing down, sit with our thoughts and clear our minds.
Outside of yoga I am an artist. I have a portrait photography business, which helps me meet tons of people around the city and gives me an excuse to be outside a lot, which I love!
